Finding Serenity

来说说这两天占据我头脑的电影吧。Controversy是我最喜欢的东西，而对该片的评价概括来说是：Could be better。


1。作为主人公，Kinsey的人生起落也牵动着观众的心。他的第二本书《人类女性性行为报告》遭到的攻击挺发人深省的。与前一本《人类男性性行为报告》获得的反响如此不同。I can't think why. 同样的一个学者（后一次他还比较出名）做的类似的研究。Laura Linney扮演的妻子说：“你在告诉人们他们的母亲也会自慰，你还希望人们会有什么反应？”男人可以坦坦荡荡地承认自己做过的事，而女人不可以？我简直觉得这是性别歧视。

2。我读到过说Kinsey的研究使人们在性方面开放了许多，因此他应该为如今那么多问题负责：性病传播，十几岁的孩子怀孕等等。这个观点让我很感触。我相信knowledge是没有害处的。不管怎样，知道得多是好的。而很多人觉得知道得多把事情复杂化何必呢？？就像我和别人讨论我的无政府主义观点一样。我说自由和平等是一个需要追求的好的目标。但是别人会反驳说没有政府怎么管束人呢，天下会大乱的。这种论调我能理解，我不是那种成天要推翻政府的激进者，就像Kinsey不是成天嚷嚷着叫大家随便性交。人在真相面前总是那么可羞，不敢真正面对它。

很多时候，所谓的morality就是人类虚伪的掩饰。用片中的一句台词来说就是：
Morality disguised the fact.
片中Kinsey的父亲就是一个虚伪的人，虽然他有难以启齿的原因。悲哀啊……
没想到父亲形象的LN也有父亲~~~


3。我比较喜欢片子的前半部分，Kinsey是个充满激情的年轻生物学家。觉得Liam Neeson的表演也是前半部分比较精彩。特别是他在课堂上讲：
Consider the implications, if every single living creature is different from every other living thing, then diversity become life's one irretraceable fact. Only variations are real, and to see them, you simply have to... open your eyes.

这一段的时候非常具有感染力。不过觉得LN笑起来有点奇怪……后来他不研究那种虫子，开始研究人，他讲了一段也比较有意义的话：
Human beings are just bigger and slightly more complicated than wasps. All I have to do is collect more than anyone else.（至于那种虫子好像不是黄蜂wasps~~~好像叫什么bou-wasp）

4。前一阵刚刚看过讲同性恋的Brokeback Mountain，给我的感觉是编导在拿他们不懂的东西瞎浪漫(wxb语)。因此对里面描述的同性恋情节都将信将疑。这次听到一点专家意见了~~~~不过李安的片子不是讲同性恋，而是讲一个一般的爱情故事的。但我还是觉得本片中Kinsey夫妇的爱情故事比较感人。特别是Kinsey和他的男学生发生关系后他们夫妇的这段对话：
-I've taken **$#@ many people's secrets. I don't want any of my own, certainly not with you... You still haven't said anything.
-It's not like I'm surprised exactly
...
-I've always been open to whatever you wanted.
-It's not you. You are the best partner any man could have.
-I'm just not enough. Is that it?
-Please Mack, this *&&*&@# of me to what extent I don't know. But I would be a hypocrite if I pretented it wasn't there.
...
-But what keeps you from acting to you feelings? Convension!
-No, it's our marriage, our children!
-Exactly, social restrains.
-Could you ever stop to think that perhaps there's strains to keep people from hurting each other?... I don't sleep with other man because I love you. And I don't want to hurt you.
-But what if it didn't hurt me?
-Then I'd be hurt.
-You are just afraid that I won't love you any more, which is impossible. The human and animal are capable of all kinds of sexual expression. Not all sex has to be sanctioned by love, enriched by emotion...
-Stop! Stop lecturing. Stop using science to justify what you've done.
-Oh Mack. Listen to me... You are my girl. You always will be. The bound we have the life we share... Sex is nothing compared to that.
-...I can't talk about this anymore.
Kinsey的确是个挑战极限的人物。我还读到过……不过不大确定其真实性。
片中的这个三角关系可能不是所有人都能接受的~~~~~~

5。不过最动人的时刻却是那个老妇人说You saved my life, sir~~~


6。有些部分还挺好笑的~~~~如下一个伪君子老师在上卫生课——
-If I can't sleep at night, I close my eyes, and count all the Johns I know. Well not only Johns, sometimes Peters as well.
-How about Dicks?
实在太好笑了，校长听了不是滋味，只好让Kinsey来上他的婚姻课。

Alfred Kinsey: [Kinsey is teaching his first class] Who can tell me which part of the human body can enlarge a hundred times. You, miss?
Female Student: [indignantly] I'm sure I don't know. And you've no right to ask me such a question in a mixed class.
Alfred Kinsey: [amused] I was referring to the pupil in your eye, young lady.
[class laughs]
Alfred Kinsey: And I think I should tell you, you're in for a terrible disappointment
Terrible disappointment说得不错啊~~~~

7。觉得这部片子不够有力。特别不喜欢的一点是Kinsey在里面有点滔滔不绝。他对洛克菲勒集团的人说：My father always wanted me to be a preacher. 可是片子从头到尾都是LN的讲话声音。Liam Neeson现在已经取代Christopher Lee成为我最喜欢的声音，这样滥用太糟蹋了。。。
